A New Trio of Boats from Nordhavn
Nordhavn is one of the few companies that can boast about their products and get away with it. And that includes their trio of new models. Even the smallest qualifies as CE Class A, fully ocean-rated!
First is their new 41 foot trawler. It is touted to be the safest boat ever. (Their words, nor mine.) What it does, is offer a no-compromise boat with the same quality, level of equipment and redundancy as its larger brothers.
Regardless of size or price, Nordhavn quality remains uncompromised.
Ideal for a couple, this should be considered if you are cruising areas that require a low-profile boat like the great loop. The single master foward layout is huge and makes for a perfect liveaboard!
The standard equipment list reads more like what you would expect on a super-yacht. Most manufacturers don’t share this regardless of price. Nordhavn has no reason to hide this and every reason to shout it outlaid. Visit the website to read more bout the N41.
There other two models follow after the pictures.

The New N47 Is More Traditional Than the N41
Personally, the N47 is more to my liking. I prefer the traditional look and this one delivers in spades.

The Nordhavn 475 will be based on the hull of the Nordhavn 43 but she will be a much different boat, starting with a completely new deck and flybridge. The N475 represents the sleeker, elongated look of modern Nordhavns with the incorporation of an extended cockpit and boat deck, providing not only a more streamlined profile, but also allowing for greater space in the cockpit and more room up top for toys and a bigger tender.
The flybridge and boat deck are very large for her size. In traditional trawler style, the pilot house has an incredible view forward when weather demands or evening cruising.
The salon and galley are large with a large residential-style galley capable of a no-comprise live-aboard lifestyle. This is a perfect example of what can be done in less than 50′. Visit the website to read more about the N475.

The New CP 52 Is the Smaller Brother to the CP59
This is my favorite of the bunch. It is a fast trawler while retaining its’ CE Class A ocean rating. I’ve been aboard the CP59 and that is a boat you can comfortably open your checkbook and live happily ever after. I’m glad they have a smaller model coming soon. At just about 52′ it’s a manageable boat for a cruising couple.
The classic sedan configuration was selected with a beautiful salon / cockpit interface and the belief that a separated wheelhouse is not necessary on a coastal cruiser where overnight operations are not the norm. This style layout benefits from unrestricted 360 degree visibility, a flowing and spacious salon galley and easy and comfortable access to staterooms and heads. A utility room forward of the saloon includes a separate washer and dryer along with an added freezer and locker space.
Access to the full height engine room is provided through the lazarette, the guest stateroom room or a hatch in the main saloon. Twin Cummins QSB 480 hp engines are provided which will allow a sensible cruising speed of 15 knots and below. If greater speed is required higher output engines are available.
